DC Classifier

The DC Classifier is a multi-functional unit designed to dry, cool and classify all in one machine. Developed specifically for the plastic pellet industry, the DC Classifier is perfect for any dry application requiring one, two or all three functions ... drying, cooling or classifying. The DC Classifier uses either positive or negative air flow to draw moisture and heat away from the particulates to dry and cool the material. The sizing and dedusting of the material takes place in the lower decks of the Classifier.

Sweco® , the world leader in separation technology, introduces the DC Classifier™, a multi-functional unit designed to dry, cool and classify all in one machine. Developed specifically for the plastic pellet industry, the DC Classifier is perfect for any dry application requiring one, two or all three functions ... drying, cooling or classifying.

The top two screens of the DC Classifier encompass the drying and cooling stages, using either positive or negative air flow to draw moisture and heat away from the particulates. The classifier can then contain either a single or double particle classifying deck where the sizing and dedusting of the material takes place.

The DC Classifier was designed with modular decks for easy removal for cleaning in-between process changes when more than one material type or color is processed in the same machine. The classifier can also be designed with casters for trouble-free mobility around the lab or production facility.

Dryer, Cooler, Classifier. The DC Classifier. Simply one more innovation from Sweco that separates us from the rest.

Dryer, Cooler, Classifier

» Existing dust collection systems or blowers can be used to draw or push air flow through the classifier
» An optional second screening deck can be added for longs and fines removal assurance
» Self-cleaning ball tray helps to keep the screens clean of near-size particles
» De-dusting deck effectively removes the fines from your material
» Modular design makes cleaning between process changes easy
» Smaller footprint as compared to comparable rectangular devices
» Casters allow for trouble-free mobility around the lab or production facility
